Interplanetary Shock (or CME Arrival)
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Location: Earth
Event Time: 2021-08-02T09:03Z ( DSCOVR: PLASMAG )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
DSCOVR: PLASMAG
Activity ID: 2021-08-02T09:03:00-IPS-001 (version 1)
Quality of ICME Signature: 2 (clear signatures)
Note: A sudden increase in magnetic field, density, and solar wind speed was observed at L1 by DSCOVR. The increase in magnetic field has not crossed 10nT yet, but the significant increase in density may cause a large compression in the magnetopause.
